Steve Potter, a fan’s fan when it comes to the Phillies, has his 3rd annual Minor League Digest out now, and I’m looking forward to picking up a copy when I visit Spectrum Field for the first time this Spring over the upcoming weekend. Proceeds from the book sold at the stadium store are graciously donated by Steve to Phillies Charities. From the foreword by acclaimed Phillies beat writer Jim Salisbury:
I suspect what Jim meant to write is that Steve Potter is obsessed. He contributes a blog to longtime publicist Larry Shenks’ Phillies Insider. And he has a marvelous Facebook page to boot, fittingly titled A Fan’s View. Today Steve shared photos of BP taken by Mark Wylie. Here’s one of a svelte Maikel Franco in the cage under the watchful eyes of Charlie Manuel.
Not to mention Larry Bowa with his favorite red fungo bat …
And owner John Middleton with one of his prize pickups over the winter not named Bryce Harper or Manny Machado.
As side bullpen sessions attract plenty of onlookers …
Enjoy!
