A Pleasant Posthumous Surprise from Oliver Sacks

New Yorker Graphic

From the February 11, 2019 issue of The New Yorker magazine, a previously unpublished essay, The Machine Stops by Oliver Sacks.  You can view all of Oliver’s wonderful essays published in The New Yorker here, our favorite of course being The Story of Stereo Sue.

The Machine Stops will be included in a new and final collection of both published and unpublished works in a forthcoming book scheduled to be released on April 23, 2019, Everything In Its Place.

And lastly, there’s a wonderful 27 minute BBC broadcast that aired last month featuring Suzanne O’Sullivan, who picked Oliver Sacks to feature on Great Lives.
