Mickey Opens Eyes

More on Mickey Jannis, from my perspective the feel-good story of the AFL thus far.  Here’s the feature MLB did on the Mets last week, that included a clip on The Mick from his prior AFL stint in 2015:

This year Mickey exchanged his Rafters hat for a Scorpions one, and picked up right where he left off.  In fact, he’s shown considerable progress in his two starts and is sure to open some eyes in Queens where Mets Fans still long for a knuckleballer who can conjure up images of R.A. Dickey.  In his first start, Mickey gave up one hit and one unearned run over three innings.  He improved on that during his second start (Friday night), giving up one hit and no runs over four innings.
