You Win Some … But Not Today

Looks like new hitting coach Matt Stairs has his work cut out for him, as the Phillies have many steps to climb.  Too impulsive at the plate today, with the exception of Maikel Franco who hit a bomb on the heels of his two HR day yesterday.

Bittersweet to see Dallas Green’s jersey up for bid at the auction, a reminder of his absence in Spring Training this year.  I imagine it’s the first time in about 60 years that the hasn’t been to ST.

Dan McDonough was in mid-Spring form, scoping out Kristy from Youngstown, Ohio to play LLLLLLets’s MakeaDeal!

Dan wasn’t the only who was taken with Ms. Ohio State.  The gentlemanly Odubel Herrera, taking the short cut to the clubhouse back through the Hooters’ gateway, gave Kristy a tip of his cap.

But attracting even more attention in the Hooters Diamond Dugout was the Phillies most valuable asset, making his way up the steps to his favorite performance platform.

As you can tell, we’re having a Hoot in our new, lower down aisle seats, located behind the third base bag.  And by the way, just in case you’re tempted to call me a baseball junkie, there’s a guy who clearly eclipses and sets a new standard for the term.  Steve Potter – who  lives in Clearwater from October through April, and in the Philly area from May through September.  He wrote a book that’s in Diamond Outfitters, telling you all about it.
