Our Last Game

We decided to go to the Surprise at Mesa game 12:35 today on a gorgeous, sunny 80 degree afternoon.  The Solar Sox lost 5-3, their only offense coming on a 3 run homer in the 8th off the bat of a very impressive 22 year-old prospect from the Blue Jays, Anthony Alford – a true five tools players.  I anticipate seeing him in Dunedin in the spring.  Rough day for our budding star Ian Happ who fanned three times (accidentally launching his bat into the stands on the last one), but did manage a walk to score ahead of Alford’s home run.  Sayonara to Sloan Park, and the rest of the battery re-charge that has been this past month.

Len—I have been a devout Cubs fan since my first game in 1930. Thus a follower of their new prospects each year. Like Ian Happ. Does he have a chance of making it with the Cubs, since they already have 2 top second basemen. Did he do well in the Fall league?–Jack
