chabbad-of-scottsdaleBrowsing the book section of Mazel Tov Gifts in the Chabad Strip of Scottsdale, I came across a fascinating text on questions of Jewish Law pertaining to current events.  The book was published in 2014, so the events surveyed through the lens of “Halachah” occurred between 2009 and 2012.  Although the cover of the book is black and white, the issues themselves involves shades of gray.  The topics are wide-ranging and span 34 subjects from Obamacare and Healthcare Rationing to Bernie Madoff and Ponzi Schemes, the latter begging the question: If a scheming  investor entrusted with his client’s money gives it to charity, should the money be returned?
