Mini-Sabbaticals

Much as the Seasons are for renewal, I find at this stage of life bi-annual mini-sabbaticals of one month in length spaced six months apart are ideal.  The entire concept of retirement is much different than the traditional gold watch ride into the sunset.  Now the sunset ride is phased, or perhaps better phrased as pulsed.  What works for me is a month on Clearwater Beach in the Spring and a month in Scottsdale in the Fall.  While there are elements of work interspersed throughout the days, each day has the formula of early reflectance, mid-morning fluidity, and multiple spheres of influence.  Whatever else happens is a bonus.
