Phils Phall League Update

Sunrise at the beautiful Scottsdale Villa Mirage.  Doesn’t get any better than this, except of course for combining the baseball human interest stories with gorgeous scenery.  Scenery is a tough word to rhyme, but I found one in Kingery, who may be the only legitimate prospect the Phillies have in the AFL this year.  Born in Phoenix and having played college ball at U. of Arizona, Scott Kingery is right at home this Fall.  He’s a second baseman, and the Phils’ starting 2B Cesar Hernandez had a breakout year at the plate, so it’ll be tough for Kingery to displace him any time soon.  But Scott does have the “Bull Horns” thing going, shades of Odubel Herrera.
