Pre-Hermine

An unusual name for a storm.  Only name I’ve ever heard close to that is Hermione, as in Hermione Gingold, the bon vivant British star who made the rounds of What’s My Line, Merv Griffin, and This is Your Life television shows in the late ’50s and ’60s.  Female storms have not been kind to the Jersey Shore of late and hopefully Hermine won’t join the legacies of Sandy and Irene.

As for now, the calm before the storm on the lake …
