Oberholtzer Coming Back to Philly

A few years ago I blogged about meeting the Oberholtzers from Delaware, Phillies fans rooting for their grandson Brett to make it as a big league pitcher with the Astros.  Thanks to a crazy deal made last night, in which the Phillies gave away their blue chip closer to Houston for four players of speculative value, Brett is on his way to the team he grew up rooting for.

Phillies correspondent Jim Salisbury has gone over the edge, touting this fleecing of the Phils by Houston as a solid deal.  I hope he’s right, but if I see him in Frenchy’s on Clearwater Beach in March, I’m going to check what he’s been drinking.

Update on Oberholtzer 01/24/16.
