The Salty Fan from Salt River

blogged a few years ago about this “passionate” fan who is the lone senior citizen groupie of the Arizona Fall League’s Salt River Rafters ball club.  And by groupie I mean only that she attends very Rafters game, at home or on the road, shouting encouragement to players who are getting practice at tuning out vociferous fans.  So when the Rafters played our Desert Dogs in Glendale today, she was in her front row spot, behind the Rafters dugout, barking out “encouragement”.  It’s quite an experience see and hear her in action, and I’m told she attends every Diamondbacks Cactus League game, and every Diamondbacks home game during the season.  Wow — don’t ever call me an intense fan again!

Speaking of fans in high gear, here’s some Dogs gear for the handful of fans looking toward stylin’ in the desert.
