Darn That Larry Fitzgerald!

Fitz

I sensed, heading into Cardinals’ Stadium in Arizona yesterday to meet my buddy Dan Wohlgelernter from LA, that Larry Fitzgerald was going to do something special against the Eagles.  Sure enough, the script played out with the still fleet wide receiver catching a short pass in full stride to outrace the Eagles defenders 80 yards to the end zone for a pivotal TD that helped to ruin our reunion in the desert.  I told Larry’s aunt, Dr. Stephanie Johnson-Brown ahead of time that if the Eagles were going to lose I would tolerate it better if it was her nephew who made a play to beat them.  Fitzgerald has been pivotal in helping to spread the word about the impact of optometric vision therapy in people’s lives.

Awesome pictures. looks like a very interesting venue to watch a football game. I have never seen an indoor football game. as we say at the end of Yom Kippur, next year in Arizona!

  2. Thanks, Ez. Interesting venue indeed. The pumped in crowd nose was absurdly loud, but otherwise a very comfortable environment to watch a game as compared to what it would be like to sit in the stands outdoors at that time of day in Scottsdale. Eagles fans easily outnumbered the Cardinals’ fans on our side of the field, and had we won it would have been a whole lot more fun!

It was a real treat getting to see the Eagles game with you, Len. Why did Larry Fitzgerald have to ruin our experience? Thanks for posting the wonderful photos.

  4. You’re welcome, Dan. It was flag football that ruined our experience as much as anything else. Some of those refs need vision therapy!!! So glad you made it out of that traffic trap and to the airport in time!
