What A Difference A Day Made

Whirlwind round trip outbound yesterday morning for a wedding in Brooklyn after the St. Patty’s Day washout in Clearwater. and back to FL this morning in time to arrive in Dunedin for the Phils tilt with the Jays.  We were creamed 11-6, and this may be a sign that our margin for victory will be slim this year.  A bright spot was this young man who played 3B.

Cody Wed

Let me tell you what we really, really like about this kid, aside from this prodigious HR over the center field wall.  After all the regulars were removed from the lineup, they trotted down the third base line as fast as they could and headed for the clubhouse.  Not Cody.  Even after he was removed after the 7th inning in favor of Kevin Frandsen, he remained in the dugout to watch the end of the game.  He is all about proving and improving himself.  After the game he graciously signed a few things, even though you could tell he was anxious to get to the clubhouse.
