Kurzweil and Netanyahu

In preparing a post for my professional blog, I came across the interesting fact that futurist and inventor Ray Kurzweil and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were classmates of the 1977 graduating class at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.  Kurzweil alludes to that, and a recent conversation he had with his old classmate regarding solar energy, at the 47 minute mark of this video:

Although born in Israel, the Prime Minister spent considerable time in the U.S. during his youth, graduating from Cheltenham High in 1967 (his older brother a ’64 grad and classmates with Reggie Jackson), returning to the Israeli Army, then finishing his graduate studies at MIT.  The Wikipedia entry on Netanyahu credits his upbringing in the Philadelphia area for his speaking American English with a Phila’elphia accent.
