The Wrath and the Aftermath of Hurricane Sandy

Our daughter and son-in-law, together with their four daughters, live in Bergenfield, NJ, a nearby town in Northern New Jersey.  Most of us are without power today, its resotration uncertain, and there is widespread damage from downed trees.  They were among the more fortunate ones, a big ol’ tree on their lawn thankfully toppling into the street rather than through their house.  Power lines were ripped away from the house, and it may be weeks rather than days before power is restored.  They live on a cul-de-sac, so they will not be able to drive away from the property until the wires are disentangled from the tree, and the debris from the road.  Pictures can be worth more than thousands of words.
