Labor Day Weekend

Beyond the Blue Moon, but nothing in the cosmos quite as shattering as a Harold Bloom theory, comes the cacophony of fireworks tonight launching from the sand, at ocean’s edge, watched by light adorned boats close to shore and Tiki Bar patrons above it.  A Thursday night elderly crowd will yield to a long weekend of tanned bodies and tight tats on skin still toned and heads with follicles that will turn in all directions, consuming alcohol like water and water like it was alcohol, the perennial joke being that we celebrate Labor Day by not working, except for Dr. Cheeko that is – although his breaks are getting to be longer than his band sets these days.  Then again, when a Phillies Phan does Santana the way he does, who are we to complain?
